Sabine RENOU holds a master in clinical psychopathology from the University of Toulouse Le Mirail, she then qualified with a degree in criminology and a master in criminology and the rights of victims from the University of Pau (UPPA).She is currently doing a long-term internship with the French Army Medical Corps in order to qualify as a” clinical psychologist specialized in psycho-criminology”
Professionally, she has been contributing to the Pyrenean Association of Aid to victims (APAVIM) in Pau since June 2009.She was a Lecturer from 2011 to 2013, she then became an associate part-time Senior Lecturer at the UPPA where she teaches victimology, psychopathology as well as interviewing and listening techniques for the Master in Criminology.
She has been committed to the development of restorative justice since the years 2008-2009.
She has always nurtured the idea that penal mediation is a practice which could apply to the restorative philosophy. She has been a Board member of the IFJR since its inception and is trained to facilitate the inmate-victim meetings.
